JUST Completes Fifth JST Buyback and Burn, Removing Over 170M Tokens

CryptoSlate reports that JUST, the DeFi infrastructure project on TRON, completed its fifth JST buyback and burn on October 17, removing more than 170 million JST from supply. The round deployed roughly $23.53 million in capital, funded by JustLend DAO's net operating revenue, according to the report.

CryptoSlate says the burned tokens equal about 1.72% of JST's total supply, and that the buyback was carried out on schedule. The capital came directly from JustLend DAO's net operating revenue, the report states, rather than from token issuance or treasury reserves. CryptoSlate describes this as the fifth round in the series and ties it to a deflationary upgrade the project has said is coming. The report was published on October 18. CryptoSlate does not state the price at which the tokens were bought back, nor the timing of the upgrade. We have not independently verified the burn figures.

Our own collected data, as of 09:16 UTC on October 19, shows TRON's TRX trading at $0.330799, down 0.69% over 24 hours. The token has slipped 0.24% over seven days and 2.03% over 30 days. Its 24-hour range is narrow, between $0.330453 and $0.3333. The RSI14 reading is 34, with the trend marked flat and volatility at 0. Support sits at $0.329924 and resistance at $0.331471. JST does not appear in our collected set, so we cannot show its price or change here.

The wider market frame: total crypto market capitalisation stands at $2.6112 trillion, up 1.02% over 24 hours. Bitcoin dominance is 63.7%, with BTC at $82,741, up 1.19% on the day.

The burn removes about 1.72% of JST supply, per CryptoSlate, and is funded by protocol revenue rather than new issuance. TRX, the chain's native token, sits near the lower end of its 24-hour range with an RSI of 34 and a flat trend, while the broader market added 1.02% over the same 24 hours. The two figures describe the same ecosystem from different angles.
