Brief as of
Crypto spent the session giving ground, with the total market cap at $2.55 trillion, down 1.25% over 24 hours. Bitcoin traded at $80,741, off 1.16%, inside a band between $80,455 and $81,939. Only one tracked coin rose. It was that kind of tape.
Crypto's total market cap stood at $2.55 trillion, down 1.25% over 24 hours and 1.08% over the week. Bitcoin traded at $80,741, down 1.16% on the day and 0.97% over seven days, with dominance at 63.5%. Ether changed hands at $2,376.57, down 1.21%. Total volume across the tracked market reached $92.26 billion, and USDT alone accounted for $40.25 billion of that turnover.
Breadth was almost entirely one-directional: of 55 tracked coins, 49 fell, five held inside a percentage point and one rose. The major cohort of eight coins averaged a 1.27% decline, with seven fallers and no risers. Meme names, five of them, averaged 2.5% lower. The 39 coins grouped as other averaged 4.7% lower, with 37 fallers and a single riser. The gap between the majors and the rest is the day's clearest signal — large caps lost ground, small caps lost far more.
Beam was the day's leader and the only tracked coin to rise, trading at $0.00334553 for a 5.74% gain. It moved between $0.0030984 and $0.0035463 over 24 hours, on $20.28 million of volume. Its RSI reads 58.2 with an up trend and volatility at 0.01. Beam is up 12.85% over seven days and 73.88% over 30 days, so the move extends a longer climb rather than reversing one.
Behind Beam, the up list thins quickly. TRON traded at $0.329621, up 0.09%, with an RSI of 49.7 and a flat trend, on $286.79 million of volume. Bitget Token sat at $1.89, down 0.80%, its RSI at 27.3. BNB traded at $736.96, down 1.11%, though it remains up 2.14% over seven days. What they share is flat or down trends and RSI readings at or below the midpoint.
Worldcoin was the weakest name, at $0.473266, down 13.82%, with an RSI of 23.6 and $396.28 million of volume. Polkadot fell 10.40% to $1.07, giving back the 7.62% gain that led yesterday's brief. Cosmos Hub slipped 7.98% to $1.66 with an RSI of 23. dogwifhat fell 7.13% to $0.187023 and is down 22.02% over 30 days. Arbitrum lost 7.05% to $0.169371, down 10.34% on the week.
Technical breadth across the 30 sampled coins shows no overbought readings, four oversold and 23 in downtrends, against a single uptrend. Bitcoin's own RSI sits at 33.9 with a down trend and volatility at zero. Support and resistance sit almost at the same level, at $80,567.9 and $80,992.6, with the price between them. That mix describes a tape that is compressed rather than panicked.
Over seven days, Beam's 12.85% gain leads, followed by Pepe at 10.75% and Monero at 4.76%. The other side is heavier: Celestia is down 26.07%, Optimism 16.60% and Pyth Network 15.85%. Beam is the only name appearing on both today's and the week's leader lists. USDT's $40.25 billion in volume against $92.26 billion for the whole tracked market shows how much of the turnover sits in the stablecoin rather than in price discovery.
Today's tape reads as broad de-risking rather than a single-coin event. Forty-nine of 55 tracked coins fell, and the cap-weighted declines widen as you move down the size ladder — 1.27% for the eight majors, 2.5% for meme names, 4.7% for the 39 others. Bitcoin's 1.16% decline is the mildest of the large moves, and its dominance at 63.5% shows capital has not rotated out of it. Ether's 1.21% decline tracks Bitcoin almost exactly. The four oversold readings and 23 downtrends against one uptrend in the sampled set say the weakness is technical and widespread, not concentrated. Beam's 5.74% gain and 73.88% 30-day climb stand apart from that pattern.
Polkadot's reversal is the one to track: it led yesterday's brief with a 7.62% gain and now sits at $1.07, down 10.40% on the day and 8.49% over the week, with an RSI of 32.1. Bitcoin's position matters too — support at $80,567.9 and resistance at $80,992.6 sit almost at the same level, with the price between them and an RSI of 33.9. The week's leaders and laggards are already separating: Beam is up 12.85% over seven days while Celestia is down 26.07%.
